TEAM RISP- Reds: 5 for 16 Phillies: 6 for 15

Eddie Burke hit 2 doubles and Chauncey Fisher completed the game without help
from the bullpen at Baker Bowl as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Philadelphia
Phillies 8 to 6.

Philadelphia fell behind quickly as the Cincinnati offense came through in the
first inning when they tallied 3 runs on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was
provided by Buck Ewing who silenced the crowd when he doubled bringing home
two baserunners. Philadelphia threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.

Fisher(5-1) lasted until the end allowing 6 runs for the win. Al Orth(7-3) was
hit with the loss. He was knocked around by Cincinnati, allowing 12 hits and
2 walks in 9 innings.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Fisher, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
