The red-hot Brooklyn Superbas bested the Philadelphia Phillies by a 12 to 8
score at Baker Bowl.

Jimmy Sheckard enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He tripled scoring two
baserunners in the 4th inning, doubled which was good for two runs in the 7th
inning and laced a single in the 9th inning.  Brooklyn bats were very
productive in the 4th inning when they had 5 runs on 6 hits.  For the game
Brooklyn out-hit Philadelphia 20 to 14.  

Frank Kitson(6-1) was the winner allowing 8 runs in 8 innings. Red
Donahue(3-3) was the losing pitcher.  Brooklyn knocked him around a bit, as
he gave up 12 runs in 9 innings.
