Dick Egan had 3 base hits as the Boston-NL Braves topped the St. Louis-AL
Browns in 15 innings by a score of 2 to 1 at South End Grounds.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. Finally, Boston-NL
pulled the game out in the 15th inning. After two were out Tom Downey hit a
single. George Hunter stepped up next and he reached on an error. Egan then
lined a base-hit giving Boston-NL the win and sending the home town fans into
a frenzy. Boston-NL had 17 hits for the afternoon while St. Louis-AL had 9.

Chick Brandom(4-2) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Bill Foxen(2-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. It was a tough loss for
him as he did not allow an earned run in his 3 and 2/3 innings of work.

The Boston-NL ballclub's record now stands at 30-26. With the loss St.
Louis-AL now has a record of 22-28.
