Walter Johnson came through with a solid 9 innings as the Boston-AL Red Sox
beat the St. Louis-AL Browns by a score of 5 to 3.

Boston-AL came up with 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help of
5 hits.  The big moment was provided by Johnson who brought the crowd to
their feet when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  The St. Louis-AL bats
were silent in the 9th.
