Dave Koslo didn't allow a hit until the 8th inning as the Cincinnati Reds were
badly beaten by the Cleveland Indians, 15 to 0.
It was a good day for Cleveland thanks to Roy Sievers. He cracked a two-run
shot in the 1st inning, doubled clearing the bases in the 2nd inning and
ripped a base-knock in the 4th inning. Cleveland kept the scorekeepers busy
in the 8th inning with 4 runs on 4 hits. Cleveland simply wore out the
Cincinnati pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
Koslo(6-3) got the win allowing no runs in 8 innings. The left-handed Koslo
lost a no-hitter when Herman Reich singled with nobody out in the 8th inning.
Monty Kennedy(3-6) took the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 8 innings.
