Tim Keefe(4-1) pitched a rare no-hitter as the sizzling New York Giants toppled the Philadelphia Quakers 4 to 0. Keefe gave the home town fans an afternoon that they'll never forget. He surrendered no walks and could have tossed a perfect game if it were not for the fielding errors. The New York players and coaches started to leave Keefe alone with his thoughts after the game reached the 7th inning. By the time the 9th inning rolled around, you could hear a pin drop every time he went to his wind-up - and an explosion after every out. New York finished with 9 hits in the victory. The losing pitcher was Ed Daily(4-7). After the game, Keefe was heard to say, 'This is something I have dreamt about since I was a little boy - to have it come true is just amazing!'
