Right fielder Oyster Burns cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and George Haddock
tossed a complete game as the streaking Brooklyn Grooms ballclub embarrassed
the Louisville Colonels by the count of 14 to 2.

Burns provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 1st inning, tripled in the 7th inning and lofted a
three-run bomb in the 8th inning. Offensively, Brooklyn was a juggernaut.
They scored in 6 separate innings.

Haddock(4-1) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Lee Viau(0-3)
absorbed the loss. He saw his ERA jump from 4.50 to 7.88 as gave up 14 runs
in 8 innings.

Brooklyn continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 9
games and counting.
