Addie Joss pitched 12 strong innings as the St. Louis-AL Browns topped the
Philadelphia-AL Athletics in 12 innings by a score of 2 to 0 at Columbia
Park.
Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings. St. Louis-AL won the
hard fought contest in the 12th inning. After two were out Clyde Milan got
things going when he stroked a single. Larry McLean followed next and he
doubled plating a run. Germany Schaefer then tripled scoring the final run
of the inning. St. Louis-AL had just 6 hits for the afternoon.
For Joss(8-5) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Frank Corridon(1-3) was
charged with the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in 2 innings.
