Jeff Pfeffer was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and he had 2 base hits as the Brooklyn Robins outscored the
Boston Braves 7 to 2.

Brooklyn tallied 3 runs in the 5th inning. The crucial at-bat was provided by
Red Smith who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he doubled which
was good for two runs. Brooklyn finished with 11 hits in the victory.

Pfeffer(3-1) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Gene Cocreham(0-1)
was given the loss. 'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive,
things were getting awfully grim,' noted Wilbert Robinson. 'Now, we need to
string a bunch of wins together and turn things around!'
