victorious in the 11th inning. Richie Ashburn led off and keyed the rally
when he ripped a one-base hit. Mickey Mantle followed and he lined a
base-hit. Mantle took second on the throw. Sid Gordon then hit a deep fly
knocking in a run. Billy Goodman was up next and he stroked a one-base hit
scoring the final run of the inning. New York-AL had 10 hits for the
