Al Corwin finished beautifully and Gil McDougald had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the
Cincinnati Reds outscored the Pittsburgh Pirates 7 to 5.

Russ Meyer(3-2) was the winning pitcher in relief.  He went 2 innings allowing
3 hits and no walks.  Cincinnati rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.

Corwin was credited with his 1st save.  The loss was charged to Early
Wynn(6-3).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11 hits and 7 walks in 7
innings.
