WEB GEMS- Top 1st: Dave Eggler robbed Fatty Briody of an extra base hit.

In a wild and wooly game at Olympic Park, the Buffalo Bisons finally topped
the slumping St. Louis Maroons by the score of 22 to 11 in.

Jack Rowe had a great day at the plate. He doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 1st inning, doubled which was good for two runs in the 1st
inning and cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 8th inning.
Buffalo kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning which saw them plate 9
runs on 6 hits and the 8th inning which saw them score 10 runs on 8 hits.
Despite scoring in 7 separate innings, St. Louis could not get the win.

The winning pitcher was Pud Galvin(6-7) who allowed 11 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Galvin got help from Pete Conway who earned his 1st save. Billy
Palmer(0-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 7 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.

'Rowe led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Galvin
said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
