Silver King allowed Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and Jimmy Ryan had 3 base hits as the Chicago Pirates bested the
Cleveland Infants 8 to 6 at South Side Park.

Chicago came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 8th inning scoring
3 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  Comiskey led off and got things going when he
was hit by a pitch.  Comiskey was safe on a stolen base.  After an out was
recorded, Jack Boyle then laced a base-knock resulting in a run.  Charlie
Bastian came up and he reached on an error.  King came up to bat and reached
on an error scoring another run.  Ryan added his contribution to the rally
and banged out a single scoring the final run of the inning.  Chicago banged
out 10 hits on the afternoon.  

King(6-5) finished the game allowing 6 runs in the victory. Cinders
O'Brien(4-3) suffered the loss.  'I had a little blister on my index finger
before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' King said.  'I was lucky I
got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
