Comiskey was safe on a stolen base. After an out was recorded, Jack Boyle then laced a base-knock resulting in a run. Charlie Bastian came up and he reached on an error. King came up to bat and reached on an error scoring another run. Ryan added his contribution to the rally and banged out a single scoring the final run of the inning. Chicago banged out 10 hits on the afternoon. King(6-5) finished the game allowing 6 runs in the victory. Cinders O'Brien(4-3) suffered the loss.
