Ice Box Chamberlain had a strong outing as the Cincinnati Reds beat the
Philadelphia Phillies in 11 innings by a score of 3 to 1.

The score was tied at 1 after nine.  Finally, Cincinnati pulled the game out
in the 11th inning.  George Henry led off and he drew a walk.  Charlie
Comiskey next to the plate and he hit a single.  Comiskey was safe at second
on a stolen base.  One out later, Morgan Murphy came to bat and worked the
squeeze play to perfection scoring a run.  Tony Mullane came up to bat and
ripped a single scoring the final run of the inning.  Cincinnati finished
with 11 hits while Philadelphia ended up with 5.  

The win went to Mullane(4-6) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Jack
Sharrott(3-3) was given the loss in relief.  Wth the win Cincinnati now has a
record of 8-24.  With the loss Philadelphia now has a record of 22-8.
