George Pearce tossed a complete game and first baseman Vic Saier collected 2
extra-base hits and had 3 RBI at Ebbets Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers beat
the Washington Nationals 12 to 4.

The Brooklyn fans enjoyed the offense provided by Saier.  He doubled bringing
in a run in the 1st inning, lined a single in the 3rd inning and tripled
scoring a run in the 8th inning.  Brooklyn dominated offensively as they
scored in 6 different innings.  

Pearce(2-1), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ed
Willett(4-5) ended up with the loss.  He allowed Brooklyn 8 runs in 3 innings
of work.
