beat the Cleveland Indians in 15 innings by the score of 3 to 2.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. New York won it in
the 15th inning. Kluszewski doubled. Al Dark came to the plate and slapped
a base-hit. Frankie Gustine then smacked a single giving New York the win
much to the delight of the home town crowd. New York totaled 15 hits on the
afternoon.
Ken Raffensberger(5-2) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Carl
Scheib(3-5) took the loss in relief. He pitched 5 innings allowing 7 hits
