Jumbo McGinnis allowed Ted Sullivan to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Oriole Park as the St. Louis Browns beat the slumping Baltimore
Orioles 11 to 10.

Baltimore was unable to recover after St. Louis went ahead in the 7th inning
plating 3 runs on 4 base hits. Charlie Comiskey got things going when he
doubled. Tony Mullane next to the plate and he lined a one-base hit scoring
a run. After an out was recorded, Mullane swiped second base. George Strief
was up next and he singled driving in one more runner. Tom Dolan came up to
bat and banged out a single, and an error was also committed. McGinnis
extended the rally and reached on an error scoring the final run of the
inning. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

The victory was credited to McGinnis(6-4) who went the distance, allowing 10
runs. John Fox(2-10) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering
11 runs in 9 innings.
