Frank Killen tossed a complete game and Harry Davis had 4 hits and 3 RBI at
Baker Bowl as the Pittsburg Pirates belted the Philadelphia Phillies by the
count of 13 to 3.

Davis had a good day at the plate.  He tripled in the 1st inning, ripped a
single in the 2nd inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the
6th inning and lashed a one-base hit plating a run in the 9th inning.
Pittsburg bats were very productive in the 1st inning which saw them score 4
runs on 5 hits and the 2nd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 6 hits.
Pittsburg managed 20 hits in their victory.  

Killen(5-4) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Jack
Fifield(4-4) suffered the loss.  He was knocked around by Pittsburg, allowing
19 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
