Charley O'Leary had 2 base hits and 4 RBI as the Boston-NL Braves bested the
Chicago-NL Cubs in 10 innings 8 to 7 at South End Grounds.

Both teams had scored 7 runs after nine full innings.  Boston-NL came out on
top in the 10th inning.  Joe Birmingham drew a walk.  After an out was
recorded, O'Leary came to the plate and doubled resulting in an exciting win
for Boston-NL and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Boston-NL totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.  

The win went to Vean Gregg(8-3) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings. Russ Ford(8-5)
was charged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 3 hits and 3 walks in 2 and
1/3 innings.
