Fred Snodgrass had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds bested the Brooklyn
Dodgers 12 to 3 at Washington Park.
Snodgrass provided much of the offense. He slapped a base-hit in the 1st
inning, laced a one-base hit in the 6th inning, doubled clearing the bases in
the 7th inning and tripled which brought home a run in the 8th inning.
Cincinnati had 13 hits for the afternoon while Brooklyn had 6.
Babe Adams(3-2) allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Ed
Summers got the save, his 2nd. Doc White(2-8) was given the loss.
Cincinnati remained hot, improving their record to 26-27. They now have a
record of 8-2 in recent days. With the loss Brooklyn now has a record of
18-35, worst in the division.
