Joost had a big day with his bat. He lashed a single in the 1st inning,
smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 5th inning, rifled a three-run blast
in the 6th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 8th inning.
Philadelphia-AL had 13 hits for the afternoon while Boston-AL had 5.
Saul Rogovin(7-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing
3 runs. Bob Hooper(3-7) was charged with the loss. He was unable to control
