Bid McPhee had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Tony Mullane tossed a complete game as the
Cincinnati Reds defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 12 to 4 at Baseball
Grounds.

Cincinnati took the lead off Tim Keefe in the first inning when they tallied 3
runs on 3 hits.  The Cincinnati offense poured it on, scoring in 7 of the 9
innings.  

The win was credited to Mullane(5-6) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
The losing pitcher was Keefe(6-1).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 16 hits
and 3 walks in 9 innings.
