TEAM RISP- Pirates: 9 for 18 Beaneaters: 4 for 13

Jake Stenzel had 5 hits at South End Grounds as the Pittsburg Pirates pulled
off a dramatic comeback beating the Boston Beaneaters by the count of 17 to
13.

Pittsburg had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they scored
6 runs on 3 hits. The highlight belonged to Stenzel who quieted the crowd
when he launched a Grand Slam homerun. Pittsburg bats were very productive
in the 8th inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 6 hits and the 9th inning
which saw them score 6 runs on 3 hits. This was the kind of game that many
fans love as the lead changed hands 7 times.

Ad Gumbert(3-6) picked up the victory, allowing 11 runs in 8 innings. Kid
Nichols(5-7) ended up with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 18 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.
