First baseman Stuffy McInnis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the St. Louis-AL
Browns topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 12 to 4 at Sportsman'S
Park.

St. Louis-AL went ahead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning as they
scored 2 runs on 1 base hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by McInnis who
electrified Sportsman'S Park when he tripled bringing home two baserunners.
St. Louis-AL finished with 15 hits while Pittsburgh ended up with 11.  

Ed Walsh(8-8) allowed 4 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Walsh
got help from Hank Robinson who was credited with his 16th save.  Vean
Gregg(9-8) was given the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 9 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
