Walter Johnson tossed a complete game as the Boston-AL Red Sox defeated the
Washington Nationals by the score of 4 to 1 at National Park.

Johnson(10-3) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He surrendered
only 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.  The Washington batters went down
meekly in the bottom of the 9th.  

The losing pitcher was Eddie Cicotte(4-5).  Wth the win Boston-AL now has a
record of 28-24.  With the loss Washington now has a record of 25-32.
