Willie Mays rocketed 2 homeruns at Forbes Field where the Pittsburgh Pirates
beat the Cincinnati Reds 7 to 6.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Mays.  He clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd inning, blasted a
solo shot in the 6th inning and lined a one-base hit in the 7th inning.
Cincinnati threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.  

The victory went to Jack Harshman(2-2) who went 4 innings, allowing 1 run. Hal
Newhouser recorded his 3rd save.  Warren Hacker(4-4) was the loser in relief.

This win by Pittsburgh continues their recent hot streak.  In their last ten
games, they have a record of 9-1.  For the season, they are 31-19.  With this
loss, Cincinnati has a 6-4 record of late, 29-21 overall.
