Center fielder Curt Welch had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Dave Foutz allowed
Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the St.
Louis Browns topped the Louisville Colonels by a score of 12 to 7 at
Recreation Park.

St. Louis brought 5 runs across the plate in the 2nd inning when they had 4
base hits.  They would be enough to earn the win.  St. Louis dominated
offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.  

Foutz(9-6), allowing 7 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Guy
Hecker(4-4) was the loser.  St. Louis scored big getting 12 runs off him in 9
innings.
