It was a great finish at Huntington Ave Grnds as the Boston-AL Americans
pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Boston-NL Braves by the count of 4
to 3.

Boston-AL erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
scoring 2 runs on 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Del Howard began
the Boston-AL spurt when he singled. After another out, Ginger Beaumont came
to the plate and drew a walk. Jim Delahanty then laced a base-knock which
scored a run. Delahanty took second on the throw. Simon Nicholls stepped in
and he drew a walk to load the bases. Ed Hahn stepped into the box and
banged out a single giving Boston-AL the win much to the delight of the home
town crowd. Overall Boston-AL out-hit Boston-NL 11 to 7.

Chief Bender(12-5) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. George McQuillan(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. Dale Van
Leven was all smiles after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty dim
there for a while, but our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans -
they kept cheering us on. What a sweet win!'
