Left fielder Fred Clarke had 2 base hits and Vic Willis completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Pittsburgh Pirates outscored the Boston
Doves 6 to 3.

Pittsburgh tallied 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. Both teams ended up
with 9 hits on the afternoon.  Willis(8-1) got the victory, allowing 3 runs
for the game. Vive Lindaman(6-3) was the loser.
