In a lop-sided win the Cincinnati Reds ripped the Brooklyn Dodgers by a 9 to 4
count.

Brooklyn was unable to climb back into it after Cincinnati went ahead for good
in the 2nd inning scoring one runner on 3 base hits. Fred Snodgrass laced a
base-knock. Hal Chase stepped up to the plate and he lined a single. Joe
Tinker then lined a base-hit to load the bases. Bill Carrigan followed next
and he would ground out scoring the run. Cincinnati finished with 15 hits
while Brooklyn ended up with 12.

Earl Hamilton(9-5) allowed 4 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. The
loss was charged to George Suggs(4-8). Cincinnati knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 4 runs in 3 innings.
