Fenway Park.
Cleveland had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they
came up with 4 runs on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Andy
Pafko who deflated the crowd as he cracked a two-run shot. The Cleveland
offense man-handled the Boston pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9
innings.
Russ Meyer(2-6) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Nels
Potter(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He was knocked around, surrendering
6 runs in 2 innings.
