Cincinnati won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Eddie Burke got things rolling when he doubled. Dummy Hoy came next and he popped a two-run clout over the fence. The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 6 times. Brown(1-0), allowing 8 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Al Orth(2-9) was charged with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 12 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Brown, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
