In a thrilling finish the Washington Senators won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by the count of 7 to 6.

Washington scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning when
they came up with 5 runs on 3 hits.  The highlight belonged to Fred Clarke
who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he smacked a three-run homer.
Pittsburgh was out-hit by Washington, 12 hits to 9.  

The win went to Rube Kisinger(5-3) who allowed 4 runs in 2 innings. Watty
Lee(4-5) ended up with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 inning and
surrendered 4 hits and 1 walk.
