Cecil Ferguson pitched a complete game as the Boston Doves defeated the
Cincinnati Reds by a score of 4 to 3 at Palace Of The Fans.

In the top of the 3rd inning Boston scored 2 runs. The key at-bat was by
Ginger Beaumont who silenced the stadium when he delivered a base-hit
bringing in two baserunners. Boston finished with 11 hits in the victory.

The win was credited to Ferguson(5-2) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
Billy Campbell(5-2) took the loss. The win by Boston is a very welcome one
as they have been struggling in recent days. Their record now stands at
11-29 - only 2-8 in their last ten games. With the loss, Cincinnati has a
record of 7-3 lately, 24-21 overall.
