The Brooklyn Dodgers pitchers essentially took the day off at Washington Park
as the New York-NL Giants offense erupted for 12 runs while Jack Quinn(4-5),
with relief help from Jack Powell, surrendered 2 runs to Brooklyn.

Brooklyn was unable to climb back into it after New York-NL went ahead for
good in the top of the 2nd inning when they came up with 2 runs on 2 hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Quinn who deflated the spirits of the home
town crowd when he delivered a one-base hit which was good for two runs. New
York-NL had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate
innings.

Doc White(6-7) was the losing pitcher. New York-NL scored big getting 6 runs
off him in 5 innings.
