In a good matchup it was the Cleveland Naps 7, the Washington Nationals 5 in
10 innings at National Park.

Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings.  Cleveland came out
the victor in the 10th inning.  Shoeless Joe Jackson led off and he was hit
by a pitch.  George Stovall came next and he delivered a one-base hit, and an
error was also committed.  Joe Birmingham then ripped a base-knock scoring a
run.  Birmingham took his lead and swiped second.  After an out was recorded,
Neal Ball came up and he stroked a single as two more runners crossed the
plate.  Cleveland had 15 hits for the game and Washington had 9.  

The win went to Gene Krapp(2-4) who allowed 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings. Dixie
Walker(4-3) was the losing pitcher.  He was unable to control the Cleveland
offense and allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
