Ken Raffensberger went 9 solid innings at Crosley Field as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington Nationals 5 to 0. Raffensberger(5-4) was tremendous on the mound for Cincinnati. He gave up just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.96 to 3.59. Cincinnati managed 7 hits in their victory. Bob Feller(4-6) ended up with the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 8 innings. Raffensberger was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time out!'
