WEB GEMS- Top 3rd: Fred Pfeffer robbed Jack Glasscock of a base hit.

First baseman Bill Phillips cracked a homer and had 4 RBI at Ball Club Grounds
as the Cleveland Blues came back dramatically to top the Troy Trojans by the
score of 8 to 4.

Cleveland erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning as they scored
5 runs on 4 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Phillips who
quieted the crowd when he laced a base-knock which was good for two runs. A
wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

George Bradley(3-5) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. The losing
pitcher was Tim Keefe(6-7). Bob Ferguson was understandably not very
talkative after his team's tough loss. He quickly showered and changed and
when asked about the game had a terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows,
that game was a heart-breaker to lose. Our guys gave it their all and played
well - fate just wasn't smilin' on us this afternoon'
