Red Ames tossed a complete game as the New York Giants defeated the Pittsburgh
Pirates by a score of 13 to 12 at Exposition Park.

Ames(7-2) had a steady outing.  He went 9 innings allowing 12 hits and 6
walks.  New York had 18 hits for the afternoon.  Deacon Phillippe(6-3)
suffered the loss in relief.
