Chick Gandil had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Walter Johnson whiffed 11 batters as the
Washington Nationals crushed the Chicago White Sox 11 to 1.

Johnson(11-2) gave Washington a solid outing. He didn't give up much, just 7
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Washington had a total of 13 hits for the
game.

Doc White(3-2) took the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 11 runs in
8 and 2/3 innings. Johnson was humble when questioned about his performance,
'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches this afternoon. But, I had
great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an
extremely well called game!'
