The Brooklyn club defeated the Chicago club by a score of 9 to 5 at Weeghman
Park.

Brooklyn wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a single
run.  Brooklyn ended up with 14 hits for the game while Chicago had 10.

The win was credited to Ed Lafitte(2-6) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 5
runs. Lafitte got help from Jim Bluejacket who was credited with his 2nd
save.  Max Fiske(4-2) absorbed the loss.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 12 hits and 6 walks in 7 innings.
