641 fans watched an exciting game at Federal League Park.  The St. Louis
Terriers topped the Kansas City Packers by the slimmest of margins, 8 to
7.

The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings.  St. Louis came out the victor
in the 11th inning.  Doc Watson led off and started the rally when he reached
on an error.  Jack Tobin came next and he slapped a single.  Tobin stole
second with some aggressive base running.  Bobby Vaughn was up next and he
doubled bringing in two baserunners.  St. Louis won despite being out-hit by
Kansas City 15 hits to 9.  

Watson(2-2) allowed 2 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Ben Harris(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  

With this win, St. Louis has a 22-20 record.  They have been 6-4 lately.
Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Kansas City is 2-8 lately and 21-25 on
the year.
