Andy Pafko knocked 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Cleveland Indians defeated
the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 7 to 5 at Forbes Field.

Pafko had a great day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd
inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 5th inning, clubbed a solo
home run in the 7th inning and doubled bringing in a run in the 9th inning.
Offensively, Cleveland was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.

The winning pitcher was Luis Aloma(4-3) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Jim
Hearn earned the save, his 24th. Early Wynn(5-6) ended up with the loss. He
served up 4 homeruns in his 8 innings.

'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Pafko said. 'We
played well together as a team.'
