Toad Ramsey had a complete game and catcher Lave Cross had 2 base hits and 2
RBI at Cricket Grounds where the Louisville Colonels beat the ice-cold New
York Metropolitans by the score of 14 to 6.

New York was unable to recover after Louisville went ahead in the top of the
2nd inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded,
Joe Werrick was the sparkplug when he reached on an error. One out later,
Reddy Mack came to the plate and ripped a base-knock, and an error was also
committed, resulting in a run. Cross then stroked a single scoring another
run. Ed Cushman then fired a sharp breaking ball that appeared to cross-up
the catcher. In any event, it got by him and was ruled a passed ball.
Cushman then threw a pitch that got away from the catcher. Ramsey kept the
rally going and drew a walk. Cushman then had one get away for a wild pitch
scoring the final run of the inning. Louisville managed 12 hits in their
victory.

Ramsey(10-11) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 6 runs.
Cushman(2-6) was the loser. He was unable to control the Louisville offense
and allowed 12 hits and 7 walks in 9 innings.
