WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Oyster Burns robbed Mike Smith of a Homerun!

Dan Daub completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Brooklyn
Grooms outscored the Pittsburg Pirates 12 to 11.

The deciding run was scored by Brooklyn in the 8th. After an out was
recorded, Tommy Corcoran laced a one-base hit. Corcoran was safe at second
on a stolen base. George Treadway then ripped a single scoring the run. Due
to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not
enough for Pittsburg to come away with the victory.

Daub(7-5) finished the game allowing 11 runs in the victory. The losing
pitcher was Frank Killen(7-5). He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 14 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
