Walter Clarkson had a complete game as the New York Highlanders outscored the
Chicago White Sox 5 to 1.

New York drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits.  Willie Keeler laced a
base-hit.  Clark Griffith then called for a steal which was successful.  Wid
Conroy then drew a walk.  Hal Chase followed and he lashed a single scoring
the run.  New York had 9 hits for the afternoon.  

Clarkson(3-1) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Nick
Altrock(7-4) was tagged with the loss.  He pitched 9 innings giving up 9 hits
and 3 walks.
