Del Pratt collected 2 extra-base hits and scored 3 times and Ed Walsh pitched
9 strong innings at Sportsman'S Park as the St. Louis-AL Browns, running on
all cylinders, ripped the Boston-AL Red Sox by a large 12 to 0
margin.

Walsh(10-8) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Boston-AL
hitters. He allowed only 5 hits and no walks in 9 innings. St. Louis-AL had
a total of 19 hits for the game.

Bill Steen(1-2) was the losing pitcher. Walsh was obviously very pleased with
his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games
where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched
another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time
out!'
