Lefty Tyler went the distance as the Boston Braves defeated the Pittsburgh
Pirates by a score of 6 to 2 at Forbes Field.

Tyler(3-3) put on a good performance.  He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.15 to 2.94.  Boston totaled 11
hits on the afternoon.  

The losing pitcher was Al Mamaux(4-3).  With this win, Boston has a league
leading 30-13 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.  With this loss, Pittsburgh
has a 5-5 record of late, 25-18 overall.
