Ned Williamson smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Larry Corcoran tossed a
fine 2 hitter at Lake Front Park as the Chicago White Stockings beat the
Cleveland Blues 7 to 1.

It was a good day for Chicago thanks to Williamson. He delivered a solo blast
in the 2nd inning, laced a base-hit which scored a run in the 6th inning and
popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 8th inning.  Chicago rapped out
9 hits for the afternoon.  

Corcoran(11-5), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Jim
McCormick(7-8) absorbed the loss.  He gave up 7 runs and 9 hits in 8 innings.
