Mark Baldwin tossed a complete game as the Chicago White Stockings clobbered
the outmatched Pittsburgh Alleghenys, 15 to 5.

Pittsburgh was unable to recover after Chicago went ahead in the 3rd inning
when they scored 4 runs on 5 hits.  Chicago kept the scorekeepers busy in the
3rd inning which saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits and the 8th inning which saw
them plate 6 runs on 4 hits.  Offensively, Chicago was a juggernaut.  They
scored in 6 separate innings.  

The victory went to Baldwin(7-4) who went the distance allowing 5 runs. Pud
Galvin(8-6) took the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 17 hits and 2
walks in 8 innings.  

In another of a string of victories, Chicago extended their winning streak to
6 games.
